Founder President, SINDHI COUNCIL OF INDIA, Ex M.P. (Rajya Sabha)

Sacho Satram. My Charan-Vandana to Sain Sadhram Sahib ji

There are many lists of Richest, Greatest & Famous Sindhis, who are all with us during our 26th Sammelan, May I now request that we prepare a list of Sindhis who are poor, sick, physically handicapped, old or destitute? Perhaps this list does not attract us. Can we at least, list the areas in each state where the number of Sindhis in these categories are in large numbers? Can we spare a moment for their children who may be deprived of basic education, primary health & minimum financial support? They ought to be our main objective for our long term unity.

SINDHI COUNCIL OF INDIA came into being in 1998 and the 1st Sammelan was hosted by Sindhis of South India at Hyderabad on 2nd Oct. 1998. All of you chose me to be the Founder President of this all-India body of Sindhis which speaks on behalf of Sindhis across the world.

Thanks to God Almighty and all of your blessings I have lived a good life so far & would like to continue working for my Sindhi fraternity till the last day of my life. For that I need your help & support, which all of you have given me abundantly so far. I want to focus my energy on helping those Sindhis who need help and support financially, or for empicyment and placements for deserving youth and dignified support for the sick, old and abandoned Please give a thought to what more you can do on an individual level. We also have to think of marriages & match-making to preserve the quality of cur Indus Valley culture, cur language & our rich heritage.

Thoughts of Sindh bring pride to every Sindhi. I don't know how many Sindhi members, their friends and family members have read or heard about Bhagwan Gidwani's book on "Return of the Aryans," a complete story of Sindhis spanning the last ten thousand years or thereabouts. Bhagwan Gidwani is also famous for his book "Sword of Tipu Sultan". I think every Sindhi should own a copy of these books that inspire us to look within and search for our hidden talents.

I am sure most of you have heard about "MOHAN JO DARO" near Larkhana Sindh, which gives us the story of rich cultural heritage of Sindhistheir art, craft, science, mathematics, astronomy, chemistry, physics and also town planning, architecture and administration. Our success must not boost our ego take us to wrong deeds. I am also sure many of you know about Jayadrath, king of Sindh and how he was killed in the Mahabharat war by Arjuna's arrow, and how his stain head flew and fell into the lap of his father who was a powerful Rishi (With several "BOONS" that he had earned after years of penances), and how the fall of the skull in his lap killed his father as well. This gives you the idea of the might of Sindh and also the spiritual attainments of our Rishis.

How many are aware that many Sindhis belong to Kashyap Gotra? Kashyap Muni had his Ashram on the banks of Kashyap Sagar (known today as Caspean Sea, which in encicsed by Iran and Russia) also known as Kaikeya Pradesh (people from there are today known as Caucasians) where Maharaja Dasharath married Kaikeyi, mother of Bharat, the third brother of Ram. Did we come to the River Sindhu along with Maharani Kaikeyi, a warrior queen who had eamed three boons from Dasharath Maharaj while fighting a war along with him? Kashyap Muni is regarded as the grand patriarch of the Sindhi-Punjabi race of India. One can hear "HO JAMALO even today in the Lok geets of Azerbaijan, though HO-JAMALO refers only to the Sakhar Barrage. The Caucasian people are said to be anscestors of Sindhis and our language has many words from Persian language, though our Vyakaran is Vedic and Sanskrit. The Vedas were written on the banks of Sindhu River, as is well known to all. That is how Indus Valley Civilization which is our heritage, is the mainstream of "HINDU RASHTRA.

Sindhis have an illustrious past, one that filis us with pride and nostalgia about our greatness. It is for this reason that we decided to get closer to each other, to hamess our strengths and re-invent ourselves, to usher in a promise of great joy and achievement and greater happiness in the shared values and future that all of us can plan and work towards.

Allow me to wish this voyage to New-Zealand & Australia a great success and hope that it will inculcate in all of us the eternal message of spirituality, brotherhood and our dharma (vivek-purvaka). Sindhis always want their children to pursue excellence, truthfulness, love. compassion, courage, energy, joy and fearlessness. I wish them the success and joy of fulfillment of all their prayers and request everyone to rededicate themselves to Sain Jhulelal, who gave us Sanyam, Ahinsa and Imandari. We recite Ek Omkar, Sadguru Prasad because we all believe in che creator and Guru Nanak's advice which resonates in PAVAN as Guru (VARUN-AVATAR JHOOLELAL) PANI as Pita & Dharti being cur Mata. We worship Adi Sankara and our beloved Sain Sacho Satram gave us a boon in the form of Bhagat Sain Kanwar Ram These sages and saints have preserved the unity of Sindhis, who today live in 157 countries of the world and therefore remembering the services of all noble souls and the spintual Darbars of Sindh, we pray for sclidarity, success and fulfillment of Sindhyat and Sindhis all over the world.

With best regards and affection for all 160 participants of 26th Sammelan on Cruise Ship Royal-Princess sailing from Auckland, New-Zealand to Sydney, Australia, where we will celebrate our Holi of the year 2025.

Jai Julelal
